Re: US Stock Market
Markets have rallied back just on the fact that there is a tariff pause with China. I don't think the movie is over yet, tariffs were just bullets that are put on the backburner for now, but Trump is the gun that keeps firing. Volatility is here to stay.

RoKo retirements
Both Rohit and Virat have announced their retirements from test cricket. It was sort of expected after their poor showing over the past 2-3 years, especially Kohli. They must have had severe self-doubt about their ability to perform in England. But it looks like Rohit was pushed out by BCCI by makin...

Re: Puerto Rico vacation
Just got back from my PR vacation. Amazing, underrated place. Food was very expensive and driving had to be creative. Other than those, it was a perfect vacation with Beach, Pina colada, rain forest and a lot of charm especially Old San Juan! Also found out, mainland expats that relocate to PR don't...

Re: How much is enough for you to coast and not worry about job
Also, it's so easy to fool those guards and make your way in. One just needs "street smarts" as they say in India. It's just security theater. not sure how they would get in. There is an app where resident needs to approve their entry in complex or else they cannot enter. Plus facility al...

Noticed https://bhartiyanivas.com/ on my recent trip to Dallas. It's right on the highway and caught my attention. Not sure about the prices or rents.

Re: The Great Job Wipeout: AI Set to Crush 300M Careers - report from Goldman Sacks
I don’t think AI will replace any Software Engineering job in near future, maybe junior / mid level Software Engineers may be more productive with of the Code Assistant tools, and those paying almost half a mill should be safe 🙂 whenever someone says more productive, I always read it as a job loss....

Re: How much is enough for you to coast and not worry about job
There is absolutely no argument of living in favor of non-gated housing except for money. For gated societies you need more money to buy psft and you pay for monthly maintenance. But facilities, safety, community you get is unparalleled. There is a reason why psft rate of gates society is much high...
