Re: US Stock Market

Indian stock market rocketed yesterday (Monday) after news came about Pak airbase destruction and ceasefire. Sensex went up by 3000 points - that is close to 4% gain in one day. Karachi stock market was closed last week after a crash and possible Indian attack. This was before Sindoor started. And s...

Re: Amazing India

What an eyewash! Give two weeks notice to vacate and fire few missiles on empty madarsaas. Gujjus cannot be trusted with national security. Right thing to do would be to bomb few military establishments and ISI places. Start with posts on LOC and capture them. Only then will they realise the severi...

Re: Amazing India

Wouldn't go through this process if it wasn't for war planning. They are expecting escalation from ...

Re: Amazing India

I doubt if a full fledged war will happen. What most likely will happen is a surgical strike and a 'response' from Pak. Re: Amazing India

We are going to start the religious tours after 3 months. Summer is not a good time to go anywhere in India. Plan to cover Ayodhya, Varanasi, Somnath, Ujjain and few more. But not in one trip, may do it over next 3-4 years.

Also, it's so easy to fool those guards and make your way in. One just needs "street smarts" as they say in India. It's just security theater. not sure how they would get in. There is an app where resident needs to approve their entry in complex or else they cannot enter. Plus facility al...

Re: How much is enough for you to coast and not worry about job

Both of you are right from your own perspective. This YouTube short sums it up pretty well https://youtube.com/shorts/YS8UkO-BIF0?si=Omc4NpTaeRFjtubl If the aim is to live in India but still escape India, then it becomes more expensive than US. But if the aim is to embrace India then, India is very...

Re: How much is enough for you to coast and not worry about job

If I were retiring in India, I would plan for the excessive income taxes, exorbitant VAT, "luxury" surcharges, labor inflation and last but not the least 'keeping up with the Joshis"! When you retire there is no income, just div and cap gain. Labor inflation, tips, healthcare OOP exp...
