Keep the old domain https://www.r2iclubhangout.org as most of the people bookmarked it getting error.

As above unless i saw this post before, do not know what happened.

I think the old domain should redirect to the new one if possible.

Unfortunately the old domain is deregistered, will send mail ( had already tried using the board tool, however it did not work ) / private messages to members.

What happened? No activity from any members? Are they aware about the new URL?

There are problems while sending emails, tried to configure SMTP server. However it did not work ( even changing the mail
script as per one recommendation did not help much). Though personal messages are sent out to all registered user( probably will be forwarded to emails based on the settings)

R2Iclubforms looks like just junk!. What's the purpose of moving back there? Any specific reason why the decision was made?

I agree. We were building a new identity here but now if people search r2iclubforums, the .com version which has become junk site for all telemarketers to register shows up first in the list followed by this site.

Most members would use spare email to register, they might not be checking their emails. So most people might think r2iclubhangout.org also died without notice !!

Not sure why we had to change again. I liked the old name r2iclubhangout actually. Probably people who checked r/R2IClubForums only might come here.

Idea was to get sufficient users with similar link as that of old forum, didn’t anticipate the negative impact on existing users.

Lakshya, I guess it is about time you post something like what happened to r2iclubhangout.org as above in reddit, that is how I was able to connect with all of you here after old forum is gone.
